Middle Georgia State University delivers refunds of tuition, fees, scholarships and financial aid remaining balances to BankMobile (formerly HigherOne). Students may elect to have BankMobile send their refund to a bank account of their choice or have BankMobile issue them a Vibe card - a MasterCard debit card that can be used anywhere MasterCard debit cards are accepted.
BankMobile will mail a refund preference package to the address on file in the Registrar's Office to every new student after the student has registered. Why am I getting a Refund Selection Kit from BankMobile?
You will use it to select how you want to receive your financial aid & other student refunds from Porterville College. Once you receive the GREEN ENVELOPE in the mail, follow the instructions in the kit which directs you to a link in your InsidePC account where you make your refund choice.
What types of Refunds will I receive from PC?
The most common types of refunds BankMobile disburses are funds leftover from Financial Aid awards, vibe bank account, & grants after your tuition has been applied to your account. You may also receive a refund if you overpaid your tuition, withdrew from a class, or other misc. reasons.
What if I do not make a selection?
If you do not activate your account and make a refund selection, there will be a delay to your financial aid & student refunds. All students MUST make a selection. If you do not expect to receive a student refund you still need to select a preference in the case your status would change and you would be receiving a refund in the future.
Can I change my Refund selection?

Can my BankMobile Vibe card be used as a Credit Card?
No. Your BankMobile Vibe card is only a DEBIT card and cannot be used as a Credit Card (charges) for purchases. Debit cards can be used to make purchases by swiping it as a payment ONLY if there are funds available in your account.
Can I get cash from my Debit card?
Yes. You can vibe bank account up to $500 a day at any Allpoint ATM (free of charge) from your balance in your BankMobile VIBE checking account.
If you are unable to connect your bank account automatically using your Online Banking username and password, you can use one of our other bank account verification methods:
1) You can verify your bank account by providing a full image of a voided check or a screenshot of your online banking portal that includes your full name, bank account number, and bank routing number
For example, if you are a BankMobile Vibe Account holder, you may log into your Vibe account, select My Account followed by Recent Transaction Activity and upload a screenshot of the your Customer Name, Address, Routing Number, and Account Number or Vibe holders can also upload a voided check which is available under the write a check tab.
2) You can also verify your bank account using our two small deposits method. We will submit two deposits less than $1.00 into your account. When you see those added to your bank account, log back into your BankMobile Personal Loan account and enter the two amounts into the fields provided.
When a refund is due to a student from any payment made on MyCalhoun, that refund will be credited back to the original method of payment (i.e. debit or credit card). If the refund is more than the original payment amount, the remaining balance will be issued through BankMobile using the reimbursement method selected by the student.
Calhoun uses BankMobile for all refunds in an effort to get the money into the hands of students quickly and easily. All students are required to register with Bank Mobile. During registration, students will select one of the following reimbursement methods:
- Direct deposit to an existing checking or savings account, or
- BankMobile Vibe Account
The address information used by BankMobile is sent by Calhoun. If a student's address is incorrect, the information needs to be updated through MyCalhoun. Address changes are submitted by the College to BankMobile. Calhoun no longer prints refund checks, therefore the Business Office cannot hold checks for pick up.
