Note: No funds will be transferred at this time. Setting up Online Bill Payment authorizes your bank to transfer funds from your account only when you complete a payment request each month.

Enrollment or Changing Bank Account

You can make an Online Payment once you enroll. Your payment will credit to your account as described in the paragraph titled "Same Day Crediting". If you use a bank account for the first time, we may hold the available line of credit equal to the payment for up to 3 business days.

Payments

You can schedule or make up to 5 online payments to be made beyond your billing cycle, but only one payment per day. Payments may be made for an amount less than or equal to the current balance.

If you do not make one Online Payment at least once every eighteen (18) months, you may have to re-register your bank account as though using it for the first time.

If a scheduled payment exceeds the current balance plus 7.5% at the time of execution, you agree that we will reduce the scheduled payment amount to the amount of your balance in full on your last statement.

Same Day Crediting

The payment cutoff time for Online Bill or Phone Payments is midnight ET. This means we will credit your account as of the calendar day, based on Eastern Time, that we received your payment request. You can make changes to any payment until 5:00pm ET on the day it is scheduled to post. Review the Terms and Conditions.

Any payment made on a weekend or holiday will be applied as of the day you make it. However, it will not be posted until the next business day.

Please note that there may be a delay between the time your payment is posted and the amount of your available credit is updated.

If any electronic payment is returned unpaid by your financial institution for any reason, we may charge, and you agree to pay, a returned payment fee or late fee based on the terms and conditions of your card agreement. Subsequent scheduled payments may also be canceled.

Authorization

By authorizing Online Bill Pay, I authorize Department Stores National Bank to initiate an electronic payment from my bank account and I authorize my bank to honor the withdrawal. This authority is for the Macy's account noted above and is to remain in effect until canceled in writing by Department Stores National Bank, my financial institution, or me.

You can pay your credit card bill by cash or check in any Best Buy store. You also can pay online, by phone, or by mail.

For the uninitiated, the Best Buy credit card has some attractive features for consumers who regularly make purchases in the stores or online.

Types of Best Buy Credit Cards and Rewards

Best Buy has two types of credit cards, the My Best Buy credit card and the My Best Buy Visa card. Both cards offer a cash-back reward of 5% for purchases at the store.

Both also have standard rewards offers for cardmembers. The retailer offers 5% back on Best Buy purchases for both cards but My Best Buy Visa cardmembers can earn 3% cash-back rewards on gas purchases, 2% on grocery and dining purchases, and 1% on all other purchases.

The standard My Best Buy store credit card can be used only at Best Buy stores or Best Buy affiliates. Its affiliates are websites or apps that link customers to Best Buy offers.

Best Buy has additional rewards for its Elite Plus customers. Cardholders can qualify to be Elite Plus members after spending $3,500 at Best Buy or an affiliate in one calendar year. After earning Elite Plus status, cardholders earn 6% cashback on Best Buy purchases.

Credit Card Rates

As of June 2021, the My Best Buy cards carried annual percentage rate interest charges with variable rates between 23.24% and 27.99% and fixed rates from 9.00% to 24.34%. My Best Buy Visa cards were issued with variable rates of 10.74% to 27.99% and non-variable rates from 9.99% to 20.24%.

Which card you get is determined only when you apply for a card.

Flexible Financing

One attractive feature at Best Buy is the Flexible Financing feature for big-ticket items, which allows purchases to be paid over time at zero interest. Currently, storewide purchases over $299 can be paid off over 12 months at no interest.

This is an unusually good deal if you're certain you can pay off the entire balance within the allotted time frame. Otherwise, it's a very bad deal since you will have to pay a high interest rate retroactively for the entire promotional period on any outstanding balance still owed.

Special financing offers do not earn cash-back rewards.

Other Features

Both cards allow customers to create and manage their accounts online. By using the online feature, cardholders can update their personal information, view transaction activity, and check their card balance.

Visa offers consumers zero fraud liability in the event of a lost or stolen card. Any lost or stolen cards should be reported to the company as soon as possible.

I'm re-reading the thread, and according to Anikiri in Post #6, it's not possible. Which I find hard to believe; certainly makes having the Macy's card a real pain in the ass, regardless of which side of the border you are on.

EDIT: I assume this is just a store credit card. It would not appear on a Canadian credit report.

OP should just not pay his bill; screw them. It's not going to hurt him later (well, unless he tries to shop at Macy's again, I suppose)
