Bank of america business credit card points

bank of america business credit card points

Get 75% more cash back on every purchase when you're a Preferred Rewards for Business Platinum Honors tier member. That means you'll earn 5.25%. The Regions Relationship Rewards program allows you to earn points for qualifying purchases on a Regions Prestige or Premium credit card. You can earn up to 75% more points on every purchase, if you have a business.

Bank of america business credit card points -

What you’ll get at the gas station: During at least one quarter per year, cardholders will earn five percent cash back at the pump.

Other perks: Other quarterly reward bonuses include five percent cash back at grocery stores, Amazon, and restaurants, which are everyday spend categories for many Americans.

U.S. Bank Altitude Connect Visa Signature Card

This winner of a card is purpose-built for travelers and road trippers. The tradeoff is that U.S. Bank Altitude points do not have any airline or hotel program transfer partners, which means you can only redeem them for benefits like travel and gift cards at the rate of one penny per point. You can also opt for cash back, but consider how much you spend to see if it is worth it. The card has a $95 annual fee, but is waived for the first year.

What you’ll get at the gas station: You’ll earn four points per dollar (or four percent cash back) on travel and gas purchases all year long, not only during one quarter of the year like on some other cards. There is no limit on how much you can earn, either. That’s pretty generous.

Other perks: You’ll earn two percent back on eligible purchases at grocery stores (including delivery) and on dining or streaming services. There are also statement credits for streaming services like Netflix or expedited travel security programs like TSA PreCheck.

Learn more about the U.S. Bank Altitude Connect Visa Signature card.

Blue Cash Preferred Card from American Express

This card has a $95 annual fee (see rates and fees), but that is waived the first year. That small fee may seem like peanuts to drivers with long commutes, carpooling parents, and road trippers looking to accrue cash back year-round at the pump. If you spend heavily on transit, fuel, and groceries, this card also provides solid returns.

What you’ll get at the gas station: Unlike other cards that only award bonuses a few months a year, this AmEx card delivers three percent cash back on fuel purchases all year long. Even if you’re not the one driving, you’ll earn three percent cash back when using this card to pay for transit including rideshare services, taxis, buses, trains, and even tolls.

Other perks: It’s not just drivers that will see meaningful return. Cardholders will also earn six percent cash back at grocery stores and on certain U.S. streaming subscriptions. Everything else earns one percent cash back.

Learn more about the Blue Cash Preferred card from American Express.

Bank of America Customized Cash Rewards Credit Card

Why not choose which categories you want for bonus point earning? That’s what the no-fee Bank of America Customized Cash Rewards credit card lets you do. That flexibility means that you can customize your cash back earning to your own spending patterns. Still, the quarterly spending caps can stifle the returns if you spend more than $2,500 in that category every three months. Big spenders would be better off with another card.

If you're a Preferred Rewards member at Bank of America, though, you can multiply your earnings, with top-tier Platinum Honors members getting up to a 75 percent cash-back bonus.

What you’ll get at the gas station: Each quarter, you can select a category to earn three percent cash back. These include gas stations, but also dining, online shopping, and travel spending, which means you can coordinate your gas station–specific earnings and your road trip planning. You can even change your earning category once per month, but can only earn rewards on up to $2,500 in spending per quarter.

Other perks: Expect two percent cash back year-round on grocery and wholesale club purchases and one percent back on everything else, but only up to the $2,500 quarterly limit.

Bank of America Business Advantage Cash Rewards Mastercard® Review

  • Annual fee: $0

  • Intro bonus: $300 statement credit after you spend $3,000 within the first 3 months of account opening

  • Spending multipliers:

    • Earn 3% cash back on one category of your choice*

    • Earn 2% cash back on dining*

    • Earn unlimited 1% cash back on all other purchases

*Earn 3% and 2% cash back on the first $50,000 in combined choice category/dining purchases each calendar year, 1% thereafter

Choose Your 3% Category and Earn 2% on Dining

The revamped card lets you pick one 3% cash back category. The default 3% category is gas, and you can change the category once per calendar month. If you don’t make any changes, then the 3% category stays the same.

Choose between:

  • Gas stations (default)

  • Office supply stores

  • Travel

  • TV/telecom & wireless

  • Computer services

  • Business consulting services

The  Bank of America Business Advantage Cash Rewards Mastercard® also earns 2% cash back on dining. However, since there are restrictions on the point multipliers, I don’t recommend using the card for dining.

You’re limited to the respective 3% and 2% cash back on the first $50,000 in combined purchases each calendar year. You’ll earn 1% thereafter.

The optimal strategy is to maximize the 3% categories for $50,000 in purchases.

Eligibility

To get approved for a Bank of America business credit card, you typically have to have a banking relationship with them.

If you don’t have a banking relationship with Bank of America, it’s usually hard to get approved for a business card unless you don’t have any credit inquiries in the past 6 months. I’ve found that opening a CD account with them also helps approval odds. Your mileage may vary.

Based on my experience, it seems like you can only have one Bank of America business credit card open at a time. It’s unclear if this is a rule or not. However, if you close a current business card with them, you can open a new one.

Business Advantage Relationship

Bank of America business clients that have more than $100,000 in assets with BoA qualify to get a 75% rewards bonus on every purchase.

With the Platinum Honors rewards boost, you’ll effectively earn:

  • 3% category = 5.25%

  • 2% dining = 3.5%

  • 1% everything else = 1.75%

If you have $20,000-$99,999 in business assets with Bank of America, you can qualify for the following:

  • Gold ($20,000-$49,999) = 25% rewards boost

  • Platinum ($50,000-$99,999) = 50% rewards boost

Final Thoughts

Overall, the intro bonus and the newly added 3% category options make the Bank of America Business Advantage Cash Rewards card an interesting addition.

If you have $100,000 in business assets in Bank of America, earning 5.25% in a category makes the card worthwhile.

Fidelity® Rewards Visa Signature® Card

We may change APRs, fees, and other Account terms in the future based on your experience with Elan Financial Services and its affiliates as provided under the Cardmember Agreement and applicable law.

1. You will earn 2 Points per dollar in eligible net purchases (net purchases are purchases minus credits and returns) that you charge. Account must be open and in good standing to earn and redeem rewards and benefits. Upon approval, refer to your Program Rules for additional information. You may not redeem Reward Points, and you will immediately lose all of your Reward Points, if your Account is closed to future transactions (including, but not limited to, due to Program misuse, failure to pay, bankruptcy, or death). Reward Points will not expire as long as your Account remains open. Certain transactions are not eligible for Reward Points, including Advances (as defined in the Agreement, including wire transfers, travelers checks, money orders, foreign cash transactions, betting transactions, lottery tickets and ATM disbursements), Annual Fee, convenience checks, balance transfers, unauthorized or fraudulent charges, overdraft advances, interest charges, fees, credit insurance charges, transactions to fund certain prepaid card products, U.S. Mint purchases, or transactions to purchase cash convertible items. The 2% cash back rewards value applies only to Points redeemed for a deposit into an eligible Fidelity account. The redemption value is different if you choose to redeem your Points for other rewards such as travel options, merchandise, gift cards, and/or statement credit. Other restrictions apply. Full details appear in the Program Rules new card customers receive with their card. Establishment or ownership of a Fidelity account or other relationship with Fidelity Investments is not required to obtain a card or to be eligible to use Points to obtain any rewards offered under the program other than Fidelity Rewards.

2.

Because the interest and other fees charged on any outstanding balance are greater than the cash value of the rewards points, you may pay more in fees and interest than the value of the points you earn if you do not pay your bill in full each month.

3.

To receive a deposit, you must link your eligible Fidelity® account to your card. This can be accomplished in any of following ways. 1. You may contact Elan Financial Services Customer Service at the toll-free phone number located on the back of your credit card and provide them with your eligible Fidelity® account (s) number. 2. Simply select the “Manage Reward Points” hyperlink from the credit card snapshot page on Fidelity.com and follow the easy steps. You may also watch a brief video that describes the linking process on the credit card snapshot page also found on Fidelity.com. Please note that automatic redemptions will occur on a monthly basis as long as you have reached the point redemption threshold of 2,500 Points.

4.

Eligible accounts include most nonretirement registrations as well as Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, Rollover IRA, SEP IRA, Fidelity Charitable® Giving Account®, Fidelity HSA®, and Fidelity®-managed 529 College Savings Plan accounts. The ability to contribute to an IRA or 529 college savings plan account is subject to IRS rules and specific program policies, including those on eligibility and annual and maximum contribution limits. Full details appear in the Program Guidelines new card customers receive with their card. Contributions to Fidelity Charitable® are generally eligible for a federal income tax charitable deduction. Please consult with your tax advisor. The list of eligible registration types may change without notice at Fidelity’s sole discretion. For more information about whether a particular registration is eligible, please call 1-800-FIDELITY (800-343-3548).

5. Certain restrictions apply to each benefit. Details accompany new account materials.

6.

Elan Financial Services provides zero fraud liability for unauthorized transactions. Cardmember must notify Elan Financial Services promptly of any unauthorized use. Certain conditions and limitations may apply.

7.

Cardmembers are responsible for the cost of any goods or services purchased by the Visa Signature Concierge on cardmembers’ behalf.

8. Fidelity Rewards+ generally requires $250,000 invested through Fidelity® Wealth Services, Fidelity® Strategic Disciplines, or a combination of both registered as an individual account, a joint account, or certain types of revocable trusts. Assets in other registration types, such as irrevocable trusts, partnerships, or LLCs, will not be included when determining program eligibility. Fidelity Rewards is not offered as a component of any advisory service or program through Fidelity, including, without limitation, Fidelity® Wealth Services and Fidelity® Strategic Disciplines. While there are no program enrollment fees, eligible managed accounts are charged an advisory fee.

23 Best Small Business Credit Cards – Reviews & Comparison

Small business credit cards are increasingly popular business financing options, particularly for entrepreneurs who don’t qualify for traditional business loans and don’t have access to networks filled with deep-pocketed family members, friends, and colleagues. No matter what your business does, a credit card can probably help – as long as you use credit wisely and avoid making purchases your company can’t afford.

Small business credit cards typically have higher spending limits and more generous rewards programs than consumer cards. Some have additional benefits, such as low APRs, attractive balance transfer promotions, personalized concierge service, and fringe benefits. However, many also come with annual fees and require good or excellent credit to qualify.

The Basics of Small Business Credit Cards: What to Know

Keep in mind that qualifying for business credit cards is a bit different from qualifying for consumer credit cards. Some issuers simply require you to submit a valid Social Security number and affirm in writing that you’ll use the card exclusively for business purposes.

Such laid-back issuers welcome freelancers and solopreneurs – basically, anyone who files a Schedule C at tax time, including people who don’t really think of themselves as business owners.

Some issuers are more strict. They request a federal employer identification number (EIN), seek evidence of incorporation, or ask for financial statements. If you can’t bank of america business credit card points that you actually own an incorporated business with legitimate cash flow, you won’t qualify.

Also, remember that business credit cards are exempt from some of the protections of the CARD Act, including the requirement that card issuers regularly notify cardholders of changes in terms and conditions. The following small business credit cards offer a favorable mix of advantages and drawbacks for business owners with strong credit.

The Best Small Business Credit Cards Right Now

Without further ado, these are the best small business credit cards on the market right now. They include a mix of low-interest credit cards, travel rewards credit cards, cash back credit cards, and general-purpose rewards cards.

1. Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card

$750 Sign-up Bonus; Unlimited 1.5% Cash Back on All Eligible Purchases

Ink Business Unlimited Card Art 7 30 21

The Chase Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card is an annual-fee-free business credit card that echoes the Chase Freedom Unlimited® Credit Card, a consumer credit card that also earns unlimited 1.5% cash back.

Ink Business Unlimited accrues cash back via Ultimate Rewards points, which can be redeemed for cash, gift cards, travel purchase, and general merchandise.

Additional perks include a generous sign-up bonus – worth $750 after you spend $7,500 in purchases within 3 months – and a 12-month, 0% APR promotion on purchases. The latter is a rarity among small business credit cards.

  • Sign-up Bonus: Earn $750 bonus cash after you spend $7,500 in purchases within 3 months after account opening.
  • Key Fees: This card has no annual fee and no employee card fees. The foreign transaction fee is 3%.
  • Introductory APR: 0% APR on purchases for 12 months from account opening.
  • Regular APR: Once the promotional period ends, the regular APR ranges between 13.24% to 19.24% variable, depending on your personal creditworthiness and prevailing interest rates.
  • Other Perks: Value-added benefits include complimentary auto rental insurance when you pay for your rental in full with your card, purchase protection on covered items for 120 days up to $10,000 per claim, and a 1-year extended warranty on items with existing eligible warranties of 3 years or less.

2. Chase Ink Business Cash® Credit Card

$750 Sign-up Bonus; 5% Cash Back on Communications & at Office Supply Stores; 2% Cash Back at Gas Stations & Restaurants

Ink Business Cash Card Art 7 30 21

The Chase Ink Business Cash® Credit Card is a popular business credit card with a generous cash back rewards program, solid sign-up bonus, and reasonable APR. It holds down the Ink stable with the Chase Ink Business Preferred and Unlimited Cards (see below and above), both of which offer different (but no less rewarding) opportunities for frequent spenders.

This card has a nice sign-up bonus. After you spend at least $7,500 within 3 months of opening your account, you get $750 bonus cash back.

The ongoing rewards program is great too:

  • From day one, you earn 5% cash back for office supply store and communications purchases (including Internet, TV, landline, and cell phone services), up to $25,000 per year.
  • You earn 2% cash back on gas station and restaurant purchases, up to $25,000 per year. After reaching the $25,000 cap, you earn unlimited 1% cash back on these spending categories.
  • All other purchases earn 1% unlimited cash back as well.

Redeem accumulated cash back for statement credits or direct deposits starting at $20, airfare booked through Chase’s Ultimate Rewards portal (which offers the opportunity to boost your cash back by 20%, turning $500 in cash back into $625 in travel purchases), gift cards, and Amazon purchases. Redemptions start at $20.

  • Sign-up Bonus: Earn $750 bonus cash back when you spend at least $7,500 within 3 months of signing up.
  • Key Fees: There’s no annual fee. Foreign transactions cost 3% of the total transaction amount.
  • Introductory APR: 0% on purchases for 12 months.
  • Regular APR: Following the conclusion of the introductory period, the regular purchase APR is 13.24% to 19.24% variable, depending on your personal creditworthiness and prevailing interest rates. The cash advance APR is 24.99% variable.
  • Other Perks: Chase’s Purchase Protection plan covers new purchases against damage or theft for 120 days, up to $10,000 per claim and $50,000 total per account. The Extended Warranty plan offers complimentary extended warranty protection for an additional 12 months on warranties originally set to expire after three years or less.

3. Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card

100,000-Point Sign-up Bonus; 3x Points on Travel, Shipping, Telecommunications & Advertising

Ink Business Preferred Card Art 7 30 21

The Chase Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card is a longtime favorite of Chase small business card users. Though it has a $95 annual fee that’s not waived in the first year, you get what you pay for with:

  • A generous rewards program that favors travel and everyday business purchases.
  • An attractive points transfer feature that lets you swap your Chase Ultimate Rewards points for other companies’ loyalty currency at a 1-to-1 ratio.
  • Perhaps best of all, a massive sign-up bonus worth up to $1,250 in free travel.

When you spend at least $15,000 within 3 months of opening your account, you get 100,000 bonus Ultimate Rewards points. That’s worth $1,000 when redeemed for cash, and $1,250 when redeemed for travel (thanks to Chase’s 25% bonus on all travel redemptions). If you travel a lot for business, that’s hard to resist.

This card’s regular rewards program is equally impressive. The 3x tier is unusually generous: cardholders get 3 points per $1 spent on travel, shipping purchases, telecommunications purchases (such as Internet, cable, mobile phone bills), and advertising, up to $150,000 in combined spending across those categories in each account anniversary year. All other purchases earn unlimited 1 point per $1 spent.

Redemption options include cash, travel, gift cards, Amazon.com purchases, general merchandise, and much more. And cardholders can increase the value and flexibility of their earned points by transferring them at a 1-to-1 ratio to popular travel loyalty programs such as British Airways Executive Club, Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards, United MileagePlus, Marriott Rewards, and IHG Rewards Club.

  • Sign-up Bonus: Earn 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points, worth up to $1,250 on travel and $1,000 in cash, when you spend at least $15,000 within three months of account opening.

Delta Reserve Business Card Art 8 26 20

The Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card is a super-premium business travel card designed for frequent Delta flyers who like to travel in style.
