Consumers can order a tree online to have it delivered to their home for free, and they can also order light installation, according to Walmart's Wednesday announcement. It marks an effort by the company to capitalize on the surge of online ordering during the fourth quarter, normally a pivotal time for most retailers.
"We understand the holiday season could look different this year," Walmart wrote in a blog post. "It may include staying home more than usual or never having to leave your neighborhood to see lit up homes."
Although the company is making it easier for families to enjoy the holidays, which fall on the backdrop of a resurging pandemic, the services come at a cost.
In most cases, the delivery is free. However, the price of the tree itself can range from $54 for a Real Douglas Fir tabletop tree to upward of $900 for an 8- to 9-foot Balsam Fir tree.
Christmas light installation for a single-story home will cost $129 and notch upward of $200 for a two-story home.
However, as the old adage goes, whatever goes up must eventually come down. Removing the lights costs an extra fee, ranging from $99 for a single home to $160 for a two-story home.

Home Depot also offers a range of Christmas trees from $50 to $200 that can be delivered to a consumer's home for free.

If you believe the saying that “everything old is new again,” perhaps, like me, you also enjoy decorating your home with things that have been around for longer than you have.
My home is slowing turning into a set from Mad Men. I’ve decorated the house in all things mid-century modern. For the first time, I’ve put up a silver Christmas tree. And most recently, I’ve been on the hunt for old ornaments and decorations, including those ceramic Christmas trees that were popular in the ’60s and ’70s, which began making a comeback last year.

While I’m still searching for one that’s already been well-loved for the past 50 years or so, I’m clearly not the only one who appreciates their beauty, as it’s easy to find brand new trees in stores you already shop at, like Walmart.
These Mr. Christmas 16-inch pre-lit ceramic Christmas trees are just $25, both in Walmart stores and online. You’ll find them in classic green like a traditional tree, and in white or pink (Walmart says it’s red, technically, and it’s almost sold out) if you’re looking for something a bit more unique.
The retro trees include LED lights walmart com christmas trees glow through the faceted bulbs and a bright star that illuminates the top. The green and pink trees have a two-tone finish that fades at the ends of the branches, while the white tree is all one color.

It uses batteries, so you can put it anywhere without worrying about where you’re going to bible fear not for i am with you it in. It even has a four-hour timer to save battery life.
Amazon also has traditional ceramic trees, like this battery-powered 15-inch tabletop Christmas tree for $34.94.

If you’re looking for something a tiny bit smaller, Aldi has a 14-inch tree. This one comes in only green and white and also runs on batteries.

You can even find one at Lowe’s for less than $10. The allen + roth vintage white ceramic tree stands more than 12 inches tall, so it’s nearly the same size as the tree from Aldi. Also battery-operated with a star on top, it only comes in white, but also includes snow on the branches.

Will you be picking up one of these vintage-inspired ceramic Christmas trees to add to your holiday decorations?
